Zhuravka F. The mechanism of realization of currency policy in Ukraine

The dissertation is devoted to the scientific and methodological substantiation of the fundamental directions of mechanism of currency policy in Ukraine improve-ment on the basis of its' complex research. The economic essence of the category "currency policy" is disclosed, the system of elements of the mechanism of currency policy is proposed. The methodological approaches to the exchange-rate regimes regulation are perfected. According to the determination of the primary tasks of the exchange-rate policy in Ukraine for the nearest future, the historical stages of its' de-velopment are pointed out. The strategy of transition from the fixed to the volatile ex-change-rate regime in Ukraine is offered according to the purpose of introduction of the monetary mode of inflation targeting. The basic methodological approaches of estimation of the National Bank of Ukraine exchange-rate policy influence on the com-petitiveness of the national economy are disclosed. On the basis of foreign experience research the relevant factors of the reserve currency choosing by the National Bank of Ukraine are determined. According to the introduction of the system of hedging of ex-change rate risks the expedience of derivatives usage by the Ukrainian market partici-pants is substantiated. The impact of the National Bank of Ukraine instruments of the currency policy on the dynamics of hryvnia's exchange rate is determined.
