Kozhokaru A. The development and improvement of sanitation of tetanus in the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Thesis for doctor’s degree by speciality 14.02.02 – epidemiology. – Ukrainian Military Medical Academy. The dissertation covers the investigation of tetanus' epidemiology among civil adult population of Ukraine and the epidemiological status check under that infection among the service personnel of the armed forces. The complex analysis of quality characteristic of epidemiology of tetanus: morbidity, mortality, collective immunity stress, sanitation, effect of the factors of labor activity and environment, was carried out among different sections of the population of Ukraine and the service personnel. Findings allowed to characterize the peculiarities of tetanus' epidemiology in Ukraine in the turn of the XX century and the beginning of XXI century. The age groups with high risk of the clinical in-fection progress were identified. During period 1972 – 2007 the rates of the mor-bidity of tetanus among civil adult population of Ukraine had the tendency to re-duction and over a period of the last five years. These factors didn’t exceed level of 0,05 of incidence to one hundred thousand population.
