Dissertation research carried out scientific generalization of key aspects and principles of systemic-functional analysis of public ethnonational policy of modern Ukraine in its complex interconnection with regional peculiarities of growth. Here well presented author's vision of the gist of current regionalism, its role and place in the investigation of the problem. Particular attention is made on consideration of the phenomenon of so-called "new regionalism", which in Ukraine's conditions - the conditions of the state with exaggerated politicization of regional factors, caries threats and challenges for national security of our country. On the basis of systematic analysis, ethnopolitical processes are considered as interaction between ethnic communities and governmental structures. Have aproved, that ethnic and regional factors, taken either individually or in combination, determine functions and specific actions of the government, their structure and mechanisms of interaction with local governments.Critically overthought and analyzed in international law, borrowed from it and adapted to the Ukrainian legislation system - the legal mechanisms of protection of national minorities. Raised questions about the immediate update of national legislation in the field of governmental ethnopolitics and international relations. Justified current challenges and recommended actions on the entire complex of issues, raised in the scientific dissertation research.
