Object: patients with diabetus mellitus (DM) 1st and 2nd types with purulent-necrotic lesions of the lower limbs; purpose - to improve the outcomes of the complex treatment of patients with DM, complicated with diabetic foot syndrome (DFS); methods - retrospective analysis of the patients medical cards, clinical, laboratory, instrumental, bacteriologic, morphologic, statistical; novelty - evidence based surgical methods on the foot with diabetic gangrene were elaborated for the first time, pathogenetic mechanisms of the development and clinical course of purulent - necrotic lesions of the lower extremities were assessed in patients with DM, criteria of the evaluation of the risk factors of the development and prognosing of the severity degree of the purulent-necrotic process in DFS; results - methodic recommendations were elaborated information letter, patients on the invention and property license on the creation; received introduced into clinical practice and studying process of the high educational establishments of the medical field; field - surgery.
