Stus V. Hygienic assessment of a combined action of radiation and chemical factors on urinary-genital system

Object - development of prenosological and pathological changes of urogenital system in case of combined influence of radiation factor and heavy metals (HM). The purpose - scientific substantiation and working out preventive measures on minimization of negative consequences of HM and radiation factors' action for health on basis of determination of their combined influence on urogenital system of citizens and workers of uranium-mining and metallurgical industry. Methods - sanitary-hygienic; the radiometric; the radiochemical; the toxicological; the physiological; the clinical laboratorial; the biochemical; the morphological; the morphometrical; the epidemiological; statistical and mathematical, of subacute natural experiment on animals. Novelty - comparative sanitary-hygienic assessment of HM and radio nuclides content in the surrounding environment (soil, water and food staff) of industrial cities Dnipropetrovsk and Zholtye Vody and non-industrial city Novomoskovsk was made; peculiarities of accumulation and distribution of HM and natural radionuclides in biosubstrates and tissues of urogenital organs of experimental animals and citizens of Dnipropetrovsk region's industrial cities as well as their impact on the morphological changes in kidneys were determined; correlation dependence between content of HM and pathomorphological changes in kidneys was established; peculiarities of prevalence and morbidity of urogenital system diseases of Dnipropetrovsk region citizens were studied. Results - system of preventive measures and pectinprophylaxis for acceleration of HM, radionuclides and other contaminants elimination from the organism of a man was worked out and implemented; methodical recommendations "Bioprophylaxis of development of ecodependent pathology of critical population groups of industrial cities" were devised. It was introduced into the work of Dnipropetrovsk municipal sanitary-epidemiological station and public office "Zhovtovodska sanitary-epidemiological station of object with special regime of work"; public enterprise "Ukrainian engineering research and exploring institute of industrial technology"; educational process of Dnipropetrovsk state medical academy, Ukrainian state chemical-technological university and National institute of mines; work of specialized medicosanitary unit № 9 of the city Zholtye Vody and I.I.
