Skubashevska O. Philosophy of innovative development of education within the context of evolving information society in Ukraine

The essence of innovative development in education is examined in the dissertation as a sociocultural phenomenon in terms of formation of information society in Ukraine. The dissertation provides the analysis of the role played by information technologies in the process of innovative development of education. The introduction of educational information technologies is proved to be one of the main factors of formation and development of the knowledge society. The main principle of implementation of innovative educational technologies is first of all high personal information culture based on values common to all mankind and on the model of moral upbringing adequate to the new society. The author stresses that the use of information technologies in education is founded on personalisation of education, refusal of ratiocenterism, development of a creative potential in a personality, free personal self-expression. Objective conditions and need for informatization of education are outlined in the thesis. Informatization in education is presented as the only means of information transfer, intensification of educational process, growth of knowledge volume, increase in efficiency of students success control, expansion of intellectual horizons of educational process participants, expansion of personal freedom.
