Bondarhcuk A. Scientific bases of potato seed growing in Ukraine

Subject of research - the process in potato growing and mail ingredients of its realization. The aim - to substantiate the theoretical grounds of the modern potato seed farming management in Ukraine on the basis of the development of sanitized parent material, accelerated its reproduction for strain renovation and the achievement of productivity increasing and gross production. The methods are field, biotechnological, statistical, computational-comparative. The conception of modern potato seed farming management in Ukraine is worked out, the possibility of obtaining of hight-quality seed materialis theoretically substantiated, the model of seed branch control is elaborated. The schemes of the reproductive sanitized seed material production and zonal seed potato cultivation technologies are worked out. Nine varieties two of which are put down on the State registry of plant varieties of Ukraine in 2009 are developed and four patents for invention are obtained. The introduction - the research results are used at the Institute of Potato Growing, Zasukhin Polissua Experimental Station, elite seed- and seed-growing farms of Rivne and Volyn regions, educational work of Bila Tserkva and Vinnytsya Agrarian Universities.
