Essay

Object - methods of transplantation and embryo cryopreservation in cattle. Purpose - on the basis of theoretical generalizations and researches, using modern biotechnological methods of reproduction to improve some technological elements of embryo transplantation and cryopreservation in cattle. Used: biotechnological, biochemical, histological and statistical methods of research. Basic methods of embryo transplantation technology (selection of cows-donors and recipients, induction of polyovulation and artificial insemination in cows-donors), embryo cryopreservation were scientifically grounded and improved. The allergic reaction has been first introduced on introduction of steroid hormones in order to improve selection of cows-donors and recipients, and also cryoprotective properties of membrane-stabilisating matters (insolvit, linolic acid, cholesterol) at the ultra rapid method of embryo cryopreservation. Dependence of reproductive organs' function of heifers-recipients and transplanted embryos nidation at mineral feeding in the conditions of Western biochemical province and methods of its correction were developed. Influences of biologically active matters (BAM), pharmaceutical drugs and biotechnological technique on increasing of the transplanted embryos nidation rate in heifers-recipients were revealed, in particular, got in vitro. The results of studies performed are used in L'viv SPC "Zahidplemresursi" and for teaching of students at L'viv national university of veterinary medicine and biotechnology named after S. Z. Ghzitskiy. Results can be implemented and used by selection-genetic centres and farms conducting embryo transplantation.
