In the dissertation metodologo-theoretical questions of psychological barriers in professional self-determination of the person are investigated. On the basis of synthesis of principles system approaches in psychology the author's concept of psychological barriers in professional self-determination of the person is proved. The psychological barrier is considered as the system phenomenon in professional self-determination of person which has structural (motivational, emotional and strong-willed levels of reflections of barrier situation and types of corresponding to them), dynamic (mechanisms of development and kinds of barriers) and functional (atomization of mental activity) characteristics.
