Essay

The thesis presents the research of the genesis and the main tendencies of Ukrainian free verse (from the end of the 19th up to the beginning of the 21st century) according to the style paradigm shifts - from modernism to post-modernism. There was shown that the style specification of Ukrainian free verse development has conditioned the powerful genological diffusion which resulted in a great deal of synthetic poetic genres; allows revealing the latent potentials of poetic tropes and figures; makes possible any interaction between the poetic, scientific, and artistic conceits in creating the individual view of the world.
