Rudnyeva O. International Human Rights Standards And Their Role in Development of the Legal System of Ukraine : Theoretical Characteristics

The dissertation studies the legal phenomenon known as international human rights standards and defines its meaning as well as its functioning role in development and improvement of the Ukrainian legal system. The study thoroughly analyzes the history of the human rights and freedoms doctrine along with scientific concepts of modern interpretation of the nature of law and of the idea of human rights. It also examines international instruments of human rights protection, their essence, types and characteristics. Here, UN human rights treaties are reviewed from the standpoint of universally accepted international human rights standards consolidation. The dissertation offers theoretical definition of the legal notion of international human rights standards.
