Objekt: Ukrainian prose of the 20 - beginning of the 21 centuries. Aim: analysis of specific of an event and explication of eventfulness in the contemporary prose. Methods: receptive, structural-semiotic, psychoanalytical, hermeneutic. Scientific novelty: at first in the Ukrainian literary studies the dissertation explores morphology and semiotics of an event in the contemporary Ukrainian prose, textual realization of eventfulness and receptive-creative peculiarities of its criteria are considered.
