Objekt: Ukrainian poetry of the late XIX - early XX century. Aim: to determine the structural and semantic specificity of literary discourse of Ukrainian poetry of the late XIX - early XX century. Methods:phenomenological, structural-semantical, hermeneutical. Scientific novelty: at first in the Ukrainian literary studies the dissertation presents complex research of Ukrainian poetry of the late XIX - early XX century as an integral aesthetic phenomenon; there are discussed the basic ideological and aesthetic trends of Ukrainian poetry in their expression in the creative personality of the writer.
