Essay

The dissertation analyses paradigmatic foundations of the modern higher education system and defines its main characteristics within a broad social and cultural context. Professional higher education is considered to be an original chronotopos of cultural and phenomenological construction of authentic and genuine meanings, a personal contribution to mental educational environment performed by the subjects of educational dialog. Those subjects are: a student being a subject of searching for meaning activity in educational environment and an educator as a subject of making educational environment meaningful. The initial idea of personality axiogenesis conceptual modelling in professional higher education is the notion of congeniality of three mental forms of ontogenetic human transformations, i.e. real, ideal and mediative. The real form corresponds to a personality as a spiritual subject of various levels and spectrum of meaning and reflexive self-understanding. The ideal form is represented by socially implemented cultural achievements, i.e. material and mental artifacts of joint culture creating activity that function as standards of appropriate (ethics), useful (economics), beautiful (aesthetics) etc. The mediative form serves as an environment for correlation between the real and ideal forms and is represented by a dialogic interaction between the bearers of these forms. In the dissertation the mediative form is conveyed through the educational dialog of professional education subjects being a universal mechanism for personality axiogenesis.
