Essay

Scientific problem of a role of immune abnormalities in pathogenesis of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), chronic myeloid leukemia (CML), myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and B-cell chronic leukemia (B-CLL) is given. Low rxpression of B7 family molecules (B7.1/CD80, B7.2/CD86) by tumor cells and their ligand СD28 by T cells contributes to molecular mechanisms of tumor cells "escape" from immune surveillance in patients with AML, CML, MDS and B-CLL before the start of treatment. In patients with AML and B-CLL direct correlation of remission length and number of CD80, CD86-positive monocytes and CD3/28 lymphocytes is shown.
