In dissertation Ukrainian novel of 20-30 years of XX century is firstly researched through the prism of author consciousness. This work represents the attempt of nationally focused categorical development and author's status, author's modification; integrated study and systematization of principal scientific approaches to understanding the concept "author"; theoretical grounds of categorical dimension of the phenomenon of author consciousness in intersubjective explicativeness - on the level of attitude to the world, society, own "Self", to the Other as another "Self" ets.
