In the dissertation, works, lectures on the history of philosophy of law, law encyclopedias by B.Kistyakivskyi, M.Paliyenko, E.Spektorskyi, F.Taranovskyi, A.Fateyev, K.Yarosh have been analysed. Deep essence of law as a complicated manysided phenomenon which synthesizes state-institutional, social, mental, normative knowledge has been substanciated. For the first time in the history of national philosophy the Philosophy of Law by B.Kistyakivskyi has been elucidated integrally within the framework of philosophical and legal discourse of the turn of XIXth - XXth centuries and in the context of historical and philosophical legal works, archival materials.
