Essay

The thesis focuses on the analysis of semantic change in the proper names, resulting in a new onym class ?- connotonims. Within the of connotonymy theory the language peculiarities, sources of appearing, functions, models of connotonyms, stages of their connotonymization , and also the scope of connotonimic derivation were clarifield. The interconnection of language and extralinguistic factors in the process of co-referential nomination of different by the nature, conditions of functioning, methods of further narrowing of groups of connotonymic onyms were proved.
