Khakhanovsky V. Theory and practice of criminalistic information science

The thesis work is dedicated to study of theoretical and practical issues of a new scientific direction - criminalistic information science. The paper deals with methods of perfecting investigation and forensic practice by using methods and means of information science, general scientific preconditions for occuring and forming criminalistic information science as a scientific direction and educational discipline, its functions, objective, categories and concept. The paper emphasizes legal and organizational aspects of criminal information science usage when solving and investigating crimes, there are covered possibilities and prospects of information technologies usege in investigation and forensic practice.
