Lobova O. Didactic and methodical system of shaping the basis for musical culture of primary schoolchildren as a part of musical education

The research reveals that personally-oriented musical school education should be aimed at forming the basis for musical culture of a pupil. Musical culture is viewed here as a complete personal virtue which lets a child profoundly comprehend the art of music and is a necessary part of all-round upbringing and evolution of personality. The author substantiates a didactic and methodical system of shaping the basis for musical culture of primary schoolchildren, which is first of all concentrated on the elaboration of innovational content and methods of musical education. The system envisages the syllabus "Music, years 1-4" and textbooks concerning music and art of music for schoolchildren of the years 1-8. The thesis also determines the means of ensuring succession of musical education at primary and secondary school as well as of professional perfection of teachers.
