Kulbabska O. Secondary predication: semantic and morphologico-syntactic typology

Manuscript is presented for the defence of the thesis and is dedicated to the actual problem of functional syntax, that is the influence of predication on hierarchy of deep propositional structures. The dissertation is the first complete description of secondary predication as a marker of asymmetry of the simple extended sentences in Ukrainian linguistics. A systematic description of the class of minimum functional syntactic units, primary and secondary syntaxemes is new in the thesis. Namely, it is the first research that presents a semantic and morphologico-syntactic typology of secondary syntaxemes, formed as a result of various transformations of initial semantically elementary simple sentences.
