The thesis is devoted to the study of specific Biblical anthropocentrism, its formation in the depths of the Ancient World and formation in the bosom of Christian philosophy, and differentiation of biblical and secular anthropocentrism in Renaissance period. The thesis covers the synchronic slice of ancient world's cultures, which influenced the formation of biblical values and representative moments of the Middle Ages culture, the Renaissance as period when Christian culture experiences the pressure of a new ideology, with its slogan of human deification. The investigation outlined epistemological line between magic and religious consciousness, and their connection with different types of anthropocentrism and humanism. The Bible creates a new conception of man: for pagan deification of man was the norm as it is, but Christianity cultivates the idea of "Way to God", which is process to restore in man the image of God. The biblical concept of "king of nature" does not mean the establishment of the power of man over the world, and charges the Bible in shaping global environmental problems unlawful. The Bible's anthropocentrism means only a greater degree of human responsibility for his actions and his moral choices. Rational-theological character of the doctrine of the Bible allows to see here the ways of myth to the Logos.
