Тhe dissertation is devoted to the all-round research on the detailed empiric material of theoretical and practical problems of modern ecological criminality in Ukraine and development of principles of its prevention by the organs of public prosecutor. Effective functioning of organs of public prosecutor in the field of counteraction ecological criminality, that is unthinkable without the armament of these organs modern knowledges of criminology of the definite level. This leaning is the new methodological scientific paradigm, that creates concept of criminology principles of prevention of ecological criminality by the public prosecutor organs. The modern tendencies of reproducing of ecological criminality in Ukraine are studied, number and quality indexes are analysed and factors, that influence on their estimation, are determined. The main features of the person of ecological offenders are shown and conclusion are given, that it is unpossible to create the generalized portrait of this variety of offenders. The complex analysis of determination of ecological criminality allows to find out the serious deformations in the moral and psychological spheres of these offenders, that explained by the legal nihilism. On the basis of the conducted research concrete proposals are formulated. It touches the idea, that in the system of counteraction ecological criminality it is important value organs of public prosecutor, have. They have the most powerful preventive potential. An idea is grounded about existence of preventive criminological function of organs of public prosecutor, and basic theoretical thesis of criminological prevention of criminality are given.
