Navalna M. Functional and Stylistic Dynamics of Vocabulary in the Ukrainian Periodicals at the Beginning of the 21st century.

The research focuses on the lexical diffusivity in the language of Ukrainian periodicals of the first decade of the 21st century, analyzing the usage of stylistic and substandard vocabulary and determining extra and intra-lingual aspects of its functional and stylistic dynamics. The research also monitors the essential expansion of the functional and stylistic sphere of terms and other lexical units, determining the tendency to speech and expression orientation of the Ukrainian press vocabulary, establishes functional and semantic expression of the confessional vocabulary in the periodicals and clarifies the stylistic potential of the elements of slang, jargon and mixed Russian-Ukrainian dialect.
