Essay

The dissertation is devoted to investigation of models of the Great Eurasian space integration and comparing possibilities for the realization of Ukraine's national interests in these models in the context of the world economic crisis, growth of new centers of power, decreasing power of the United States and strengthening the role of transnational companies. These trends promote creation of Great spaces when several states belonged to one civilization form common living space around a center of power on the basis of regional integration. Russia, the U.S., China, India, Brazil, EU implement a policy of creating Great Spaces in different cultural traditions. Russia aspires to recover geopolitical unity of the Great Eurasian space via the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Common Economic Space (CES), the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), and the Customs Union. The author of the research worked out the concept of a new stage of the Great Eurasian space integration on the basis of the Russian and Ukrainian economic systems going out of а position of the semi-periphery and periphery accordingly, the development of comprehensive cooperation, creation of a competitive idea in the area of senses, implementation of mechanisms for control of material consumption of the elites, the development and realization of а wide social project
