Dissertation research is devoted to the problem of power's legitimity in the context of its sources, specifics of acquisition and role in construction of the system of society and state-political institutes relations. The author seeing of implementation phases of civil society idea in Ukraine is offered. Specific of sources of legitimity of political power on the different stages of state building in modern Ukraine is grounded; recommendations to overcoming of social and political crisis by facilities of legitimation are represented.
