Essay

The dissertation is devoted a problem of roof breeds collapses forecasting by mining face flat layers. Roof collapses forecast perfection at mining faces demands of stratum movement scientific bases development. The new direction of geomechanics based on established regularities of roof stratum shift area formation over developed space and dirt bed interaction is developed. It is established that the full strata shift area defines dirt quantity which take part in shifting under open area and basic pressure forming. It is established that the size of pedigree layer arch width before a collapse is directly proportional to its capacity, breed elastic properties, fracture strength and inversely proportional to layers quantity which making cantledge counted layer, critical length of crack in pedigree layer.
