Essay

The work is devoted to the developing and testing theoretical and methodological principles of the design and geographic analysis of the mineral resource safety of Ukraine as an object of the national safety. The conceptual and terminological apparatus of this problem was formed, and the legal definitions of such terms as "frontier", "public area" and "subsoils of Ukraine" were analyzed. The fundamental forming principles and development of the national safety were shown as well as the main methodological approaches of the analysis of the factors which have influence on the mineral safety of Ukraine. Appraised level of mineral resources availability was justified. Legal and geographical basis to prevent mining and geological subsoil intervention in Ukraine and the limits to the state border in the depth of the crust and the height of the airspace were defined. Economic relations during the mineral resources usage was analyzed. The manuscript presents methods of state areas delimitation in the territorial fragmentation of states. Reasonable influences of different types of threats to the national mineral safety were made. The geographic principles to combat the threat of international terrorism in terms of mineral resource safety were proposed. Relationship of hydrocarbon geological formations to planetary processes and cosmic phenomena was analyzed with a view of prevention and reduction of volcanogenic threats. The estimation of available reserves of Rafalivka native copper area was made in addition to the possibility of the increasing availability of diamond tubes.
