Essay

The object is political consumerism. The aim is to study the peculiarities of political consumerism in modern political process. The methods are systems approach, system-component and structural-functional analysis, modeling, comparative and historical-genetical analysis. The complex analysis of political consumerism as the new tendency in political life of modern society is done. Post-modernist, communitary and public discussions approaches to solving collective consumer problems were classified. It is suggested to classify state consumer politics depending on correlation (union or conflict) consumers' interests. Success of state consumer politics is in a great deal conditioned by quality of informative and educational consumer space. For this purpose state creates necessary political and judicial mechanisms, promotes development and implementation of various educative programms. In modern society political consumerism is considered as consumerally motivated behavior. It supposes public attitude toward politics as to the sphere where political goods and services are being exchanged as well as on commercial markets. Technological arsenal of political consumerism is aimed to implementation the politically motivated strategies of consumption (boycotts, policy communities, flesh-mobs) and consumerally motivated political strategies (campaigns on delegitimation of authorities). Application sphere is the training courses.
