Bobik Y. Reproductive health of women with iodine deficiency diseases

We studied the new aspects of the pathogenesis of female infertility and gestational complications in women with iodine deficiency diseases (IDD) in order to develop a complex of diagnostic, treatment and prevention measures. For the first time we have conducted a comprehensive study of reproductive health of women with Iodine deficiency disorders and their emotional state. We investigated the influence of iodine deficiency diseases on the disorders of the reproductive function of women and we found a set correlation relationships between them. Based on a comprehensive study of thyroid status of pregnant women we show the impact of IDD on gestational process, peculiarities of postnatal adaptation of newborns and lactation, as well as the growth of children under 1 year of age. We have developed and implemented an algorithm of diagnostic and preventive measures to reduce the frequency of obstetric and perinatal complications of women with IDD
