Vygovskyy O. Institute of securities in private international law

The present thesis is dedicated to the research of theoretical and practical problems connected with private international legal relationships in respect of securities. Based on the analysis of provisions of the laws of Ukraine and certain foreign states, foreign case law materials, as well as the doctrinal studies, the following problems have been scrutinized: issues of determination of the place of the securities institute within private international law, principles and mechanism of solving the conflict of laws problem with regard to securities, held in direct and indirect holding systems, conflict of laws aspects of cross-border securities transactions, harmonization and unification of national securities legislations, legal regime of particular types of securities in private international law (bills of exchange and promissory notes, checks, bills of lading, eurobonds, depositary receipts).
