Essay

The applied research problem of building intelligent decision support systems using the ontological approach in the aim of increasing efficiency of such systems had been solved in the thesis. A classical ontology model had been expanded by introducing weights of importance of concepts and relations, therefore such model was called an adaptive ontology. The mathematical software of intelligent decision support systems based on adaptive ontologies had been developed. The method of setting of importance weights of ontology elements had been developed. The theoretical researches towards optimizing the ontology had been expanded.
