In the dissertation for the first time in Ukrainian historical and legal science close attention is paid to the history of Municipal Law of Lviv of the second half of the XIIIth -beginning of the XXth centuries. For this purpose the historiography of the problem is analyzed, source basis of the research are classified, its methodology is done. The scientific periodization of the History of Municipal Law of Lviv is done, the main stages of development of Municipal Law of Lviv of Middle Ages and New time are studied, historical ties and distinctions between those stages are researched.
