The social aspects of the legal system in the modern Ukrainian society are considered. The understanding of nature, social structures are clarified. Their social value is defined. The sоciodiagnostics of its reform in to the modern day was carried out (1991-2012). Social regulators of the legal system are defined. The social mechanism of the legal system is conceptualized. Its system principles are grounded and the basis is specified. The deformation typical to social mechanism of the legal system is clarified. The technological aspects of the strategy of its stable functioning are outlined.
