Essay

The thesis is devoted to an actual problem of preventive medicine, related to early diagnosis and search for effective means of chronic fatigue. On the basis of studies on occupational groups, working in conditions of various intensity of work (Chernobyl power industry, air traffic controllers, engineers of radar and radio navigation and communication, members of Antarctic expeditions) and the analysis of the results of experimental studies using models of chronic stress effect on animals, a hypothesis is grounded on non-specific psycho-physiological mechanisms of formation of chronic fatigue as a prepathological process. Scientific and methodological approaches for assessment the degree of its development have been proposed as well as measures for prevention its negative consequences.
