Essay

The dissertation deals with a study of the specific characteristics of the clinical presentation and pathogenesis of various types of vegetative dystonia. At has been demonstrated that in patients with vegetative dystonia there occurs a disturbance of conjugacy in the activity of the vegetative nervous system and the neuropeptide systems of regulating the vascular tone, namely, there occurs a disturbance of the interrelation among substance P, bombesin, vasoactive intestinal peptide, angiotensin II and ?-atrialnatriuretic peptide that clinically determines the type of the vegetative dystonia course, whereas at the level of the vascular wall it result in an endothelial dysfunction right up to an undulating death of endotheliocytes after the mechanism of apoptosis. The presence of a more marked vegetative and neyropeptide imbalance and a more evident character of the endothelial dysfunction and the processes of apoptosis has been shown in patients with a hereditary aggravation as far as the vegetative dysfunction is concerned. New therapeutic regimens of a differential treatment of various types of the course of vegetative dystonia employing medications of the erbisol and glutargin class in a multimodality treatment have been elaborated on the basis of studying the dynamics of changes of the parameters of the tachykinin and the peptide-hormonal components of regulating the vascular tone, evaluating the degree of the endothelial dysfunction and of endotheliocytes.
