Essay

Object: life meanings in the system socio-humanitarian knowledge. Aim: the creation of theoretical and methodological conception of sociological analysis of the meanings of life, as a specific social problem in the system of evaluating processes that are taking place in the globalizing society. Methods of research: historical, logical and system analysis, comparative analysis and synthesis, typologization, questionnaire surveys and expert interviews, secondary analysis of sociological studies' results, documentary sources analysis. Theoretical and practical results: the systematization of groundings is implemented on proving the viability of including the life meanings as a leading factor for the sociological assessment of social problems and quality of social relations in the globalizing society. Novelty: the concept of life meaning is developed as an important social problem in the system of social diagnosing of processes taking place in the sphere of public relations under the influence of globalization. Degree of implementation: conceptual statements and research findings have been used in teaching such disciplines as "Sociology of global processes", "Sociology of politics", "Sociology of religion", as well as in developing and implementing an experimental educational course of "Sociology of meanings" for the students of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University.
