In essential arterial hypertension with different salt reactivity types it has been investigated salt-dependent changes in central and renal haemodynamics, glomerular and tubular mechanisms of natriuresis and studied their neurohumoral regulation. It has been determined salt reactivity type related traditional cardiovascular risk factors and markers, 5-year prognosis and action of antihypertensives. It has been discovered predictors of salt sensitivity and paradoxical reactivity.
