The dissertation is devoted to the formation of professional reflection of prospective elementary school teachers in the course of their training. The paper contains a theoretical basis and experimental verification of the formation of professional reflection of prospective elementary school teachers. The dissertation reveals the nature, and theoretical and methodological basis for the formation of professional reflection of prospective elementary school teachers. The content, structure and types of professional reflection are defined; the state of its formation, the theoretical model and the technology of professional reflection of prospective teachers are characterized.The content and components of professional reflection of elementary school teachers are defined. A lack of its formation under the current system of training students as prospective teachers is revealed. The influence of psycho-pedagogical and gender-age factors on the formation of professional reflection is studied. The basic pedagogical conditions and techniques for the formation of professional reflection of prospective elementary school teachers in the course of their training are justified. The system of the formation of professional reflection is developed and tested.
