Essay

The algorithm for choosing the body contouring method which considers actual and desired anthropometric parameters was proposed. It was demonstrated the possibility of intra-abdominal hypertension development as a result of abdominoplasty. The methods of its prevention were devised. New methods of abdominoplasty, umbilical transposition and reconstruction were worked out. Enhanced recovery after surgery protocol for the body contouring patients was offered. Improvements in fat, carbohydrates and purine metabolism following body lipectomy permitted to use it for metabolic syndrome prophylaxis. It was proved the positive change of quality of life after body contouring surgery.
