Essay

Theoretical methods based on the local and spin approiximations with the self-action correction of both stationary and non-stationary density functional theory have been developed and modified. The above methods were used to obtain and clarify the data on the structure of multi-electron atomic systems and characteristics of the relevant pair interactions with electrons, photons and atoms. Total problems of atomic and nuclear physics that are needed for the description of the influence on the electron shell of the atomic system from the beta-decay and electron capture are investigated.
