Kindyuk B. Ukrainian Forest Legislation: Historical and Legal Study (1917-2011)

The historical development of Ukrainian forest legislation from 1917 to 2011 was analyzed. The peculiarities of law-making in the forestry of Russian Provisional Government, Ukrainian Central Rada, Ukrainian Hetman State, Directory of Ukrainian People Republic, Soviet state and independent Ukraine were revealed. The history of drafting and key provisions of law-making in "Law on Forests of UNR" 1919, "Law on Forests of Ukrainian SSR" 1923, the USSR Council of Ministers and Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Decree (October 20, 1948), "Fundamentals of Forest Legislation of USSR and Union Republics" 1977, Forest Code of Ukrainian SSR 1979, Forest Code of Ukraine 1994 and its version (2006) were examined.
