The dissertation presents the results of an investigation the pathogenesis features disorders of porphyrin metabolism in the central nervous system of rats and experimental reasonableness of the effectiveness treatment of the porphyria by trimetazidine. Studies have shown character of hepatotoxic and metabolic effects of precursor's heme synthesis in rats due to the creation of optimal experimental model of disturbed porphyrin exchange. It is possible to describe the disorders, occurring at the level of neurohumoral regulation in different periods after brain damage. Our data have to recommend trimetazidine at disturbances of porphyrin metabolism, which has some basic elements of pathogenesis: penetration of hematoencephalic barrier for the products of heme synthesis, accumulation of аlfa-aminolevulinic acid and protoporphyrins in different parts of the brain; hems heme synthase increased activity, decreased antioxidant protection of neurons and perivascular swelling.
