Objekt: memoirs and fiction works of Ukrainian writers of the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries. Aim: to develop the methodology of the artist's inner world comprehension and reconstruct the psychological portraits of the Ukrainian writers. Methods: systematic, structural-semiotic, cultural-historical, comparative-typological. Scientific novelty: the complex of approaches, methods and means for systematic comprehension of the artist personality presented in richnes and ambiguity of consciousness and unconsciousness manifestations, that are the essence of the writer's psychological portrait reconstruction, was developed. Approved in 26 publications. The sphere of use: literature and high sckool practice.
