Fedun M. Рoetics of the West Ukrainian memoirs of the first half of the twentieth century

The problem under investigation is the systematic analysis of genre features and poetics of memoirs of the West Ukraine in the first half of the twentieth century (1900 - 1940). It was made for the first time in the Ukrainian Study of Literature. The article deals with the results of meaningfulness of the problems of the memoir genre theory and methodology of its study, the evolutional processes of the West Ukrainian recollections of this period. The classification frameworks and multifunctionality of memoirs of the West Ukraine were defined in the article; polythematics, publicistics, debatable character of the memoirs of the determined region and time were found out in the article also. The author describes the memoirs portrait as a form of the reflection of life in the West Ukrainian memoirs.
