Zakharenko N. Genital and extragenital endometriosis in women of reproductive age (aspects of pathogenesis, diagnostics, treatment and prognostication).

The paper is dedicated to preservation and recovery of reproductive health in women with different forms of endometriosis by substantiation of the system of medical management of this group of patients. The results of investigations present the structure and specific features of the development of genital and extragenital endometriosis; characteristics of hormonal homeostasis, cellular and humoral immunity; morphofunctional features of ectopic and eutopic endometrium and the role of genetic factors in the genesis of different forms of endometriosis. Risk factors of endometriosis development were identified and mathematical model of its prediction was elaborated. The algorithm of diagnostics and principles of differentiated approach to surgical and conservative treatment for different forms of endometriosis were worked out on the basis of the above mentioned findings. It was demonstrated that proposed surgical methods and improved therapeutic complex make the effectiveness of endometriosis treatment higher.
