Seregina S. Form of government in Ukraine: constitutional and legal aspects.

The dissertation presents a theoretical generalization and a new solution of the scientific problem which is described in the development of the integrated concept of form of government, in the complex characteristics of the existing form of government in Ukraine and in the definition of common approaches to its improvement according to the current political and legal realities. The main elements of the form of government are defined; the classification of forms of government is improved by expanding the circle of division criteria. The form of government is characterized as an institution of constitutional law, the main approaches to constitutional and legal consolidation of the form of government in the countries of the modern world are found out. The historical reconstruction of the process of the evolution of the form of government of independent Ukraine was made. The general overview of the form of government in Ukraine is provided by the current Constitution of 1996. The typology of the form of government in Ukraine is done by the methods of index and cluster analysis. The main directions of improvement of the existing form of government in Ukraine are defined within constitutional reform.
