Thesis for a doctoral degree in historical sciences, speciality 09.00.11 - Religious Studies. - H. S. Skovoroda Institute of Philosophy, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Religious studies department). - Kyiv, 2013. Thesis is an entire historical religious research which analyzed the trend, works, means and methods of realization of ethno-confessional policy of Russian Impire as to Greek Uniate Church in the Right-Bank Ukraine at the end of 18 - 19 century. It predicted to carry out the analysis of institutional and internal transformations of Greek Uniate Church in the period of devision of Rzeczpospolita (1772 - 1795), study the attitude of Russian autocracy to this Church in the period of reign of Paul I and Alexander I, consider the sequence of development of repressive policy of Nicolas I as to the Church and the administrative power methods of its abolition, and also clarify the realities of practice establishing position of Russian Orthodox Church in the Right-Bank Ukraine during the middle of the second half of the 19th century. Proved that after the devision of Rzeczpospolita in the Right-Bank Ukraine which was a part of Russian Impire unfolds purposeful autocratic - Synodal campaign of gradual weakening of the positions of Greek Uniate Church and the reversion of greek-uniates to Orthodoxy. The culmination of this was the abolition of this Church 1839. It was set that after the official "reunion" of greek-uniates of the Right-Bank Ukraine with Russian Orthodox Church some of them continued to follow forbidden religious and cultural traditions for decades. That's why the efforts of authorities in those lands in the mid-second half of the 19th century were aimed at strengthening position of "piety" and permanent eradication of "remains of ancient Latin Uniate".
