Semigina T. Public Health Policy in Ukraine in the context of glocalization processes (political analysis).

The thesis conceptualizes the notion of "public health", "health care", and "health policy". The historical and theoretical origins of health policy are described; social goals, models and instruments of modern health policy are analyzed. The characteristic global health policy, regional institutional change and localization process of health policy are characterized. Global and local transformational trends in shaping health policy with respect to the value-ideological dimension of contemporary processes of health policy, epidemiological challenges and the role of the professional environment are analyzed. The state of the national healthcare system is described, influences of political actors are determined, problems of transformation of health policy are defined, the achievements and difficulties of implementation in Ukraine of the international programs aimed at developing new approaches to public health are evaluated. A prospective analysis of public health policies in Ukraine is conducted and the preconditions for implementing effective strategies for preserving the health of the nation are defined.
