Yugan N. Genre paradigm of V. Dahl's creativity in the context of Russian literature of the 1830 - 1860's.

The thesis is dedicated to the genre paradigm of V. Dahl's creativity in the context of Russian literature of the 1830 - 1860's. The entire literary heritage of the writer, a genre classification of his texts, their poetic and typological features, types, modifications, structural components, dominants and dynamic of literary process have been researched. The Dahl's position in public and social disputes of the 1830-1860's as well originality of realization of his cultural and aesthetic views in the literary heritage have been analyzed in the thesis. The genesis of literary genres in Dahl's creative works has been determined, extra-literary and immanent factors which led to the genres' functioning and transformation have been outlined. The author reveals the influence of folk traditions on the writer's genre system. Leading features of the Dahl's genre paradigm have been identified in the context of trends and tendencies' variety (romanticism, realism, "natural school"). The thesis highlights the traditions and innovations of V. Dahl in the area of literary fairy-tales, short novels and small epic forms (story, essay, parable, ect.).
